Elevated radon levels of 6.2 pCi/L were identified during initial testing at a newly constructed home in Berwick, ME. To address this concern before moving in, the homeowner engaged Maine Radon and Water Treatment due to their proven reliability and timely service. The mitigation system was installed on the right side of the house, requiring precise work around existing spray foam insulation. Coordination with the homeowner’s electrician ensured appropriate power access for the system. The installation included a crushed stone base to support the system, an RN-2 fan for air movement, a manometer for pressure monitoring, and a RadonEye unit to track radon levels. The post-installation testing process was set with a 12-hour delay to allow for a full 72-hour measurement period, ensuring accurate results.
